The ways and wares of another era will be on display this weekend at the Alafia River Rendezvous near Bartow.
For the 42nd year, more than 1,200 participants have been preserving history by living this week. Participants have dressed, camped, and cooked using the clothing and equipment of the time period. The event is sponsored by the Florida Frontiersmen, a non-profit group dedicated to preserving the ways of our ancestors.
