Larry Pierce, Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Council 5441 in Sebring, (center) presents a $1,500 check to Special STARS Recreation Club Activities Director Joshua Croston and Special STARS athlete Sara Canali. The money will assist Special STARS in providing 13 different sports and seven recreational activities this year for more than 350 children and adults in Highlands County with mental and physical disabilities. There is also a separate Special STARS program in Hardee County.
