There will be a water interruption today (Wednesday) and tomorrow due to construction on the water system, according to the Town of Lake Placid Utilities Department. The area affected is from Lake Clay Drive South and east of U.S. 27 south to The Terraces.

A precautionary boil water notice will be in effect for 48 hours after water service is restored. With a targeted restoration time of 4 p.m. Thursday, the boil water notice is in effect until 4 p.m. Saturday. “This will give two consecutive days of bacteriological samples” as required by state guidelines, a spokesman said.
