The Polk County School Board drew a bit closer Monday to defining what they want in the search firm they hope will find them a top-performing superintendent.

Former Superintendent Sherrie Nickell retired this month, and previous three-term Polk Superintendent John Stewart is filling in as interim until a new leader is hired.
