On Friday, the Polk County Commission and other government, business and civic leaders gathered in Kissimmee to launch the Open For Business website.

This was the first time in the nation a region worked together to develop an approach to streamline the permitting process. Thirty-one Central Florida governments collaborated to provide businesses a greater knowledge and access to permitting standards and how those standards apply in each local jurisdiction.
