Mr. Ralph Lee Pickard, 73, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, in Sebring, Fla.

Mr. Pickard was born in Traverse City, Mich., and was a long-time resident of Fort Meade.

He was retired from Kaplan Industries in their maintenance department and attended the Victory Praise Center in Bowling Green.

Mr. Pickard was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and a stepson.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Workman Pickard, of Fort Meade; son, Ralph Lee Pickard, Jr., of Fort Meade; stepsons, Fred Johnston and Terry Johnston, both of Fort Meade; stepdaughters, Melissa Sasser and Rachel Sasser, both of Fort Meade; father-in-law, Henry Workman, of Zolfo Springs; brothers, Rodney Pickard and Pat Pickard both of Muskegon, Mich.; sisters, Fran Clark, of Buckley, Mich., Margaret Waller, of Lakeland, Fla., Rosemary Szejn, of Ravenne, Mich., Mary Culp, of Lakeland, Fla., Dora Carrier, of Fort Gratriot, Mich., Anna Spaulding, of Twin Lake, Mich.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, for those wishing, may make contributions to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, FL 33870.
