Dorothy “Dottie” Siudzinski, 90, passed away from natural causes Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, in Bartow, Fla.
Born Feb. 6, 1922, in Columbia, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Harry Allen and Linnie Gertrude Ball.
Mrs. Siudzinski graduated from the University of Missouri in 1943 and taught school in Columbia for 6 years.
In 1949 she moved to Milwaukee, Wisc. She taught school in Milwaukee for 27 years. She and her husband retired and moved to Florida in 1976 and still maintained a residence in Mercer, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Siudzinski was a volunteer at Bartow Regional Memorial Hospital, starting in 1982. She also volunteered at the Bartow Public Library one day a week for many years. She was a longtime member of the Bartow First Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Siudzinski was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester “Syl” Siudzinski; siblings, Harry and Helen.
She is survived by a stepson, Lee Siudzinski of Oshkosh, Wisc.; a stepdaughter, Lynne Conti of Ripon, Wisc.; two nephews; John Allen Ball (Gloria) of Georgetown, Texas, Dr. Richard David Ball (Paula) Traverse City, Mich., a niece, Dr. Nancy Ann Ball of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. at the Bartow First Baptist Church, 410 E. Church St., Bartow.
Also, a memorial service will be held at a later date in Milwaukee. Afterwards, she will be placed to rest with her husband Sylvester Siudzinski.
