Mrs. Joyce Ruth Hurd, 63, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Hurd was born in Newport, Ark., on July 12, 1949 and moved to Fort Meade from Kissimmee in 2000. She owned Joy’s Pet Grooming and she attended the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade.

Mrs. Hurd is survived by her husband, Eric G. Hurd, Fort Meade, Fla.; sons, Michael Diamond, Lakeland, Fla., Billy Jay Hurd, Benjamin Hurd and Eric Gene Hurd, Jr., all of Fort Meade, Fla.; daughters, LaDonna Scoggins, Tenn., Karen Stewart, Lakeland, Fla., Jeanetta Fletcher, Sacramento, Calif., Christina Hurd, Fort Meade, Fla., Cassandra Diamond, Bartow; brothers, Nathaniel Lindsey, Gerald Lindsey and Lloyd Lindsey, all of Arkansas; sisters, Maxine Pulley, Jean Lindsey, Dona Scoggins, all of Arkansas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade with Rev. Kenny Slay officiating.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade.
