Jim Crum shows a picture of the Homeland Methodist Church that was built by James B. Crum. He got this picture at the 2000 reunion. Originally the church was located about a mile from the park and moved there in 1986. It was an active church from 1878 until the mid 1970s.

Just pack with you a covered dish and you can spend the day hearing a bit of history of Polk County from those who lived it.

From 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, March 30, the Homeland Reunion is set for the 30th time. It will be on the grounds at the Homeland Heritage Park, the original site of the Homeland School, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.
