Commissioners to dedicate classroom, discuss gun show sales

Those attending the Tuesday, Feb. 5 Polk County Board of County Commissioners regular meeting will be witness to a recognition ceremony to Kay Hutzelman, thanking her for her many years of community service in Polk County.

Next, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd will accept a proclamation declaring Classroom Four at the South County Jail as the Sgt. Ronnie Brown Memorial Classroom. Brown, who had been a member of the PCSO for 20 years, having joined October 1989, several months following his honorable discharge in May 1989 from the United States Marine Corps. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant in April 1997.
