Marsha Faux opened up her presentation explaining the Amendment One, if passed, was just an expression by Floridians how they feel about "Obamacare."
Monday’s Tiger Bay luncheon may have been one of the more sparsely attended this season, but for those able to attend, it may have been one of the more instructive ones, as in erudite fashion, County Property Assessor Marsha Faux explained, one by one, the 11 amendment proposals Tuesday’s general ballot.
However, perhaps the more interesting news to come out of the luncheon occurred prior to Faux’s presentation when Tiger Bay president Al Dorsett revealed the result of a straw poll Magnify Credit Union undertook with the Polk County School Systems (visit www.magnifystudentvoting.com for full results). The straw poll, which was held in schools in Mulberry, Bartow, Winter Haven and southern Lakeland, turned out to be quite revealing.
