Polk State to offer career educator fast-track
With the increasing popularity of career/technical academies and programs, the need for instructors who are field-experienced has to be balanced with state educational requirements.
It can be challenging for these teachers to track down all the courses that are required in order to remain in the classroom. Superintendent Sherrie Nickell told board members at their Oct. 23 work session that there is now an easier way, thanks to a partnership with Polk State College.
