Health Department director resigns for new job

The director of the Polk County Health Department has resigned his position as he was hired as the Associate Vice President of Community Health at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Daniel Haight, who ran the health department for more than 16 years, will start his new job on Nov. 19.
