LAND O’LAKES (AP) — Pasco County Sheriff’s detectives have identified the pilot who died after his small plane crashed in Land O’ Lakes.

Authorities say 48-year-old Andreas Wendel was a Swiss citizen and a pilot for Edelweiss Air from Bassersdorf, Switzerland. He has no relatives in the U.S., but his next-of-kin in Switzerland has been notified.

The cause of the Saturday morning crash is still being investigated by federal aviation officials. No other injuries have been reported.
