Fort Meade’s Miners celebrated Homecoming Friday night at Battle Field with a 24-19 win over the Class 7A Hornets of Haines City.

The Class 3A Miners would get things started on defense, holding the Hornets on four plays. Following an 11-yard punt the Miners took over at the Haines City 31.
