MIAMI (AP) — Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright says Americans should be mindful of how they exercise their freedom of speech in the wake of attacks that killed four Americans at the U.S. Consulate in Libya.

She said Americans must also understand that the group who set fire to the Libyan embassy isn’t representative of the entire country.

Albright was in South Florida Thursday stumping for President Barack Obama. She told a group of women at a Jewish community center that “Florida is the key” for winning the election.

Albright was the first female secretary of state under former Pres. Bill Clinton and served in 1998 during attacks at embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

She also defended the Obama administration’s commitment to Israel’s security.
