On Sept. 18, the 13-year wait will
officially be over as a sign will be placed outside the original courthouse — now the county’s history museum — to let people know what that building is. And, it won’t be quick thing either. There’s a party planned around it and the timing is such that the building’s new name can be displayed.

The building was renamed the Polk County History Center in June.
