The Polk County Board of County Commissioners was honored as being a Best Place to Work for the eighth year in a row by Polk Works at its 2012 Annual Meeting and Best Places to Work Awards.

The event was held Aug. 23 at Sykes Hall in the Lakeland Center, with U.S. House of Representative Dennis Ross, R-Lakeland, as the keynote speaker.
