City may tap reserves to improve firefighting

Frostproof leaders are considering dipping into its sizable reserves to pay for a water project that might eventually save city homeowners money.

Council member Ralph Waters suggested during a budget workshop meeting Monday that the city use some of reserve money to loop water lines between the high school and Harrell Avenue which would significantly increase water pressure issues that have been a potential long-standing problem in fighting fires.
