PUNTA GORDA — There weren’t too many surprises in the Charlotte County track meet Tuesday afternoon.

The Charlotte High boys and girls both took first place in impressive fashion, beating their opponents in cold, windy conditions. The boys won with 347 points to second-place Port Charlotte with 164, and the girls had 258 points to 169 for the Pirates.
