Cynthia Rae “Cyndie” Coppock, 64, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, from complications of COPD in Marietta, Ga.

She was born Jan. 12, 1948, in Gas City, Ind.

Cyndie was raised in Gas City, and moved to Englewood, Fla., in 1979, where she worked and raised her three children, with the help of her parents and sister, Jan. After a stroke that left her partially paralyzed, she lived the last 10 years in Kennesaw, Ga., with her daughter. The most important thing to her was her family and friends. Cyndie spent her days taking care of her granddaughter, Katie, playing with her dogs and cats, doing puzzles, drinking coffee, eating lots of candy and calling all her loved ones every day to make sure they were OK and doing what they were supposed to be doing. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Cyndie leaves behind her daughter, Tara Dunn of Kennesaw; sons, Ken Coppock of Myakka City, Fla., and Greg Coppock of North Port, Fla.; as well as 12 grandchildren, Katie, Sara, William, Ashley, Tommy, Sara, Destiny, Richelle, Jasmine, Brandon, Andrew and Taylor. Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Charles “Pat” Murphy; mother, Sarah Helen Murphy; and sister, Patricia “Patsy” Wright.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at the Lemon Bay Funeral Home in Englewood. You may express your condolences to the family at www.lemonbayfh.com.

Arrangements are by Lemon Bay Funeral Home.
