Doris L. Plante, 87, a winter resident of Englewood, Fla., and a resident of East Otis, Mass., passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012.

She was born Aug. 20, 1925, in Manchester, N.H.

Doris was active in community organizations. She loved to travel, and enjoyed watching the Red Sox in spring training. But, above all, Doris loved and supported her family. With her husband Lou she enjoyed 66 years of marriage.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Ronald) Watson; son, George Plante, both of Westfield, Mass.; and grandchildren, David and Sarah Watson, and Brian and Michelle Plante. Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis; and brother, Arthur Vaillancourt.

Services will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts can be made in her name to Shriner’s Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
