Michael A. “Mike” Stio, 88, of Cape Haze, Fla., passed away suddenly Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Englewood Community Hospital in Englewood, Fla.

He was born Oct. 15, 1924, in New York, N.Y.

Michael had retired from the New York Police Department. He was a devoted communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

He is survived by his dear sister, Angeline Stio of Cape Haze. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Benedetto and Madeline; and brother, Joseph Stio.

The funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 5265 Placida Road, Grove City, Fla. Interment will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Park. You may share a memory with the family at www.englewoodfh.com.
