‘Maze of Bones’ at Elsie Quirk Library

T he Master Gardeners from the Sarasota County Extension Service staff their “Plant Clinic” from 10 a.m. to noon today. Bring your Florida gardening and landscaping questions and consult an expert free of charge! Irrigation water testing and soil testing are also available for a small fee. At 2 p.m., children ages 5 to 11 years old are invited to Environmental Club: Archaeology Detective: Mysteries of the Deep & Build a Boat. Melissa Timo from the Florida Archaeology Network talks about undersea archaeology and how to build a boat. Registration is required and limited to 24 children. Go to the calendar at www.scgov.net/library and click on the event on the calendar to register.

On Wednesday kids ages 5 to 11 years old are invited to a “Maze of Bones” program. Join the mystery and adventure and help unravel the clues about a mysterious serum. This program is based on the book “Maze of Bones” by Rick Riordan, the first in the 39 Clues Series. No pre-registration is required to attend.
