Bottlebrushes also blooming

Several types of the woody plants called bottlebrushes are common sights in many local landscapes, especially now because they are flowering.

Notable species of bottlebrushes that do well in Southwest Florida include the red bottlebrush, callistemon citrinus, the weeping bottlebrush, callistemon viminalis, and the dwarf bottlebrush. Originally from Australia, bottlebrushes provide an old, popular favorite with dependable flowering and graceful form.
