Boca Causeway bridge work — someone’s gotta pay

Work is nearly complete on the new South Bridge of the Boca Grande Causeway. The Center Bridge is expected to be completed by December, and plans are in the works to replace the third bridge.

PLACIDA — Construction is complete on the Boca Grande Causeway’s South Bridge, the Center Bridge is nearing completion, and contractors are ready to replace the third aging bridge — the swing bridge.
“I am happy to say things are coming together,” Gasparilla Island Bridge Authority Executive Director James Cooper said.
