Reaction mixed toward settlement

The disbursement of $60 million to help with housing issues the Florida Legislative Budget Commission approved last week will have a relatively minimal impact on the local housing market, Englewood Area Board of Realtors president David Basham
said Thursday.

The $60 million is part of the $334 million the state received in a settlement with the nation’s five largest mortgage services following the foreclosure crisis.
