SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Authorities in San Antonio have arrested a convicted sex offender from Florida just days after he was placed on the Texas “10 Most Wanted” sex offender list.

The U.S. Marshals Service said Thursday 52-year-old Gregg Michael Scott is held without bond in the Bexar County Jail.

Scott was convicted in 1998 in Florida and sentenced to five years in prison for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

After his release, he moved to Texas where authorities say he failed to register as a sex offender.

He was arrested Wednesday evening without incident at a home in northeast San Antonio. Scott had been placed on the “most wanted” list earlier this week.
