BOCA GRANDE — Former first lady Laura Bush told a crowd of media and area residents gathered here Wednesday that she’s had a connection and concern for the Gulf of Mexico since her childhood, growing up in Texas.
Her concern brought her to a ribbon-cutting for a new Mote Marine Laboratory satellite office at 480 E. Railroad Ave. on Boca Grande.
