ENGLEWOOD — The mangrove fringe on Beach Road between the Sandpiper Key condominiums and the Emil R. Swepston Bridge will stay mangroves if a group of Manasota Key residents have their way.
If not, then expect 12 single-family, two-story-over-parking residences to be built on the five-plus-acre property, including impacts to nearly two acres of submerged lands. Engineering drawings show the developed property surrounded by a sea wall and the mangroves gone.
