It isn’t often that a batter gets a game-winning RBI in the first inning. It happened in the 5-2 DeSoto County win over Avon Park in the semi-final district game April 23.

“Awesome Austin” (his mom said he was given that nickname as a 6-year-old on the BMX track) Lambright hit a bases-loaded line drive that bounced off the fence in left-center field to clear the bases and give the Bulldogs a 3-0 first-inning lead.
