The DeSoto County JV Bulldogs jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning against Avon Park, but were unable to hold on as the Red Devils outscored the Bulldogs 9-4 April 5.

DeSoto County’s leadoff hitter, Grant Potter, walked and was safe at second on a steal when he kicked the ball out of the second baseman’s glove. Luke Womack singled him in and the Bulldogs had staked starter Casey Rittenburg to a 1-0 lead.
