SARASOTA — After trailing for most of the game, Notre Dame scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings, then beat Florida Gulf Coast in the 10th on Saturday in the Snowbird Baseball Classic at Ed Smith Stadium.

FGCU took to a 4-0 lead in the top of the third inning, capped by Charlotte High School graduate Brooks Beisner’s double off the left-field fence.
