PUNTA GORDA — When Tyliek Sylver scored seven straight points to give Charlotte High School a 14-point lead in the third quarter Wednesday, it looked like the Tarpons had their District 7A-11 semifinal wrapped up.
But Braden River rallied to tie the game at 56, and the teams went to overtime to decide who would move on and whose season would end. The Tarpons took control again in the extra period, winning 69-61.
