Soccer regional run ends with 2-1 loss

The DeSoto County boys’ soccer team lost their regional semifinal game against Berkeley Prep last Saturday night 2-1 in front of a loud crowd of fans. In four days, the team had experienced both ends of the emotional roller coaster that sports provide.
In the 2-0 district championship win over St. Petersburg Catholic goalie Edgar Olvera told about his feelings. “I’m feeling great. I stopped everything they kicked at me. It’s indescribable to win this game; it feels so good.”
