The Florida Highway Patrol reported a wreck on Kings Highway at the Interstate 75 on-ramp injured three Arcadian men, one seriously.

According to the FHP report, a car carrying four Arcadians — Hector Negron, 27, Jose Rivera, 22, Jose A. Morales, 23 and Nicolas Ocasio, 45, were heading south in a Saturn Ion on Kings Highway in the right lane around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. Just as their vehicle came to the I-75 northbound on-ramp, a northbound vehicle driven by Frank Palermo, 45, of Port Charlotte attempted to turn left, directly into the path of the oncoming Ion. The Ion struck Palermo’s car, which spun around, coming to rest in the southbound lane of Kings Highway. The Ion came to rest in the grassy area 200 feet southwest of where the collision occurred.
