A 73-year-old Arcadian woman was killed Monday when her Jeep SUV struck a Ford pick-up truck at the corner of Hillsborough Avenue and East Oak Street, the Arcadia Police Department reported.

Barbara Wooders was driving west on Oak when Clayton Boggess, 46, also from Arcadia, apparently failed to yield to Wooders, who had the right of way, and crossed in front of her. Wooders struck the F150 truck, which caused it to spin, jump the curb and come to a stop facing the opposite way at the foot of a tree. Meanwhile, the SUV struck the same curb and flipped, killing Wooders, the APD reported.
