DESOTO COUNTY —The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest Friday of Johnny Lee Rivera, 18, for lewd and lascivious acts where the victim is between the ages of 12 and 16.

DCSO’s investigation revealed Rivera had sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl on more than one occasion from August through November. DCSO did not provide any details of dates and locations to protect the identity of the victim. Rivera, whose residence is in the 2600 block of S.W. Beard Street, is charged with four counts of lewd and lascivious acts, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison for each count. Rivera is presently being held in the DeSoto County Jail on $500,000 bond.
