Carolyn Pattishall Sullivan

Carolyn Pattishall Sullivan, 80, went to be with the Lord, Monday, March 18, 2013, in Arcadia, Fla.

She was born Jan. 29, 1933, in Moore Haven, Fla., and moved to Arcadia with her husband Donald in 1950, from Ocala, Fla.

She was of the Christian faith. Carolyn was a very loving mother, grandmother and sister; she will be greatly missed. She was always ready to help others in any way she could, and touched so many lives. Carolyn loved cooking for her family, and enjoyed sewing and crocheting in her spare time.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Jody) Sullivan of Arcadia, and Mark Brown of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Sullivan of Arcadia; daughters, Joyce Ann Connell and Amy Nelson, both of Arcadia; three sisters, Margie Leiter and Marion Smith, both of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Suzanne Smith of Arcadia; five grandchildren, Rowdy (Erika) Sullivan, Dan (Melissa) Sullivan, Matt (Vanessa) Sullivan, Dustin Sullivan and Jamie Allen; two little great-grand-angels, Rhylea and Cody; much-loved family, Herschal Miller and James Roan; and many nieces and nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Sullivan; son, Carl Sullivan; daughter, Donna Lea Sullivan; parents, Jack Howell and Irma Smith Pattishall; brother, Earl Smith; and sister, Meta Brown.

A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Church of God of Arcadia, 1423 N.E. Oak St., Arcadia, with the Rev. Ellis Cross, Brother Donald “Duck” Smith and the Rev. Billy Wooten officiating. Burial will follow at Joshua Creek Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.pongerkaysgrady.com.
