Jimmy Hooks, 40, of Nocatee, Fla., passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, in Arcadia, Fla.

He was born Nov. 27, 1971, in Thomasville, Ga.

Jimmy moved to Arcadia as a small child. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Jimmy loved his freedom and being able to take care of his father.

He is survived by his father, Alan Wayne Hooks of Nocatee; brother, Toby (Molly) Hooks of Arcadia; and several nieces and nephews. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Odom Hooks; and brother, Johnny Hooks.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Chapel, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Online condolences may be made at www.Ponger-Kays-Grady.com.
