Marie J. Pannozzo, 89, of DeSoto County, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 4, 1922, in River Rouge, Mich., to Antonio and Paolina Rinna.

A working wife and mother of four, Marie worked in financial banking as a supervisor until her retirement. She and her husband Andrew moved to southern DeSoto County in 1982 from Southgate, Mich.

Marie is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Andrew Pannozzo; daughters, Mary Ellen (Thaddeus) Majtyka and Paula Patrola; son, Andrew Pannozzo; and grandchildren, Tyson Pannozzo, Thaddeus (Shanna) Majtyka and Cassie Patrola. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Orlando and John Rinna; and son, John Pannozzo.

Visitation for friends and family will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., with prayer service at 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at Roberson Funeral Homes, Punta Gorda, Fla., Chapel, 215 Mary St. Funeral Services and burial will be private.
