I meet the most interesting people, sometimes by just following signs. In this case it was “Hay and Burn Barrels” at the corner of Kings Highway and County Road 760. I followed the arrow. I needed some good quality hay and I had heard that there was a Bob in the area who had the best.
Bob wasn’t there but his daughter Jean loaded me up with some excellent alfalfa and an orchard grass, timothy blend. I became a customer. One day Jean asked me if I would like to see her dad’s museum. I expected a collection of some sort but as soon as I saw the bird houses I knew Bob was extremely creative. She gave me his card, which said “Story Teller Bob,” and I started realizing that this would be one interesting interview. It was.
