The celebration, which will feature a host of state and local dignitaries for the official ribbon-cutting, begins at 9:30 a.m. and will continue until 3:30 p.m. Guided tours of the bank as well as refreshments will be featured. The official ceremonies will include: Invocation by Gerald Taylor; Welcome — the Honorable I.D. Eller, Jr., Mayor; official ribbon-cutting — tour of Bank with Burton Thornal, Chairman of the Board. William J. Briscoe, former president of the Avon Citrus Bank in Avon Park, will serve as the president of the new bank. Board members are Dr. H.S. Agnew, M.D., Gerald F. Tinsley, Richard E. Anderson, Dr. L.A. Fusco, D.D.S., John W. Parker and Edward Russell. The new financial institution will be a full service bank, and a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
