Well, Thanksgiving is behind us. And, we have finally polished off the last of the leftovers. I tell you I love that deer. Deer, did you say? Yes, deer, my dear. Because that’s what the pilgrims ate. And, why, may we ask, are you running this column now and not last week? Because for many, many years Thanksgiving was celebrated on the last Thursday of November.

And as I am sure astute readers have deduced by now, today’s question is: What did the pilgrims and Indians eat on the first Thanksgiving?
