School board OKs new bus purchase

In a special meeting before their regular one, the DeSoto County School Board approved using capital outlay funds to purchase a new school bus and a vehicle for driver’s education.
Capital outlay funds are revenue the school district generates from property taxes and which are used to purchase capital assets.
