The L & E (Literary and Embroidery) Club began the 2012-13 year at the lovely home of Adrienne Daly. Assisting Adrienne were hostess Shirley Cullom and Adrienne’s daughter from Sebring, Jan Shoop. Refreshments consisting of finger sandwiches and strawberries over fresh pound cake were enjoyed by the guests prior to the start of the meeting.

President Mary Ann Treadwell opened the meeting by welcoming all former members and new members Susan Head, Susan Lanier and Muriel Hall. Several members were absent due to personal illness or illness of family members. Marlou Zolkos gave a Treasurer’s Report and read a thank you letter from the DeSoto County Mural Society for a recent donation. The Program Committee presented the 2012-13 program booklets and briefly discussed the yearly theme. The group will be studying various Religious Observances during the year.
