Battling heavy wind and rough waves on the Harris Chain this weekend, Mike Boswell and Austin Murray bested the competition to win the Woodland Open with 14.59 lbs., aided by Boswell’s first fish of the day, a 7-pounder, which took the big bass award.

Bartow High School Yellow Jackets Ryan Thomas and Cole Schmucker placed second with a 13.6 lb bag. Five other Jackets’ teams competed.

Dustin Bozeman and Luke Ferguson placed sixth with 9.9 lbs, Shane Hines and Robert Wiggins were eighth with 8.5 lbs, Jamie Eskdale and Patrick Sharpe were 10th with 3.4 lbs., Jacob Rogers and Micah Patel were 12th with 1.68 lbs, and 13th was Cody Glowner and Angel Arzate.
