Local teen killed in single-car accident

A vehicle involved in a crime scene lays on its side on the grassy median of State Road 60 within a mile of Flamingo Drive in Bartow. The incident occurred in the late morning hours of Wednesday, Feb. 27. Law enforcement officers are searching for two men who fled from the car following the wreck.
Eighteen-year-old Zakery Zeigler, was killed Wednesday in a single-car wreck on State Road 60 near Rifle Range Road,
Zeigler, who lived on Maggie Drive in Bartow, was traveling west on S.R. 60 in a white, 2002 Isuzu SUV. Just west of Rifle Range Road the vehicle left the road and entered the median, then traveled across both westbound lanes traveling off of the road and into a pair of trees where the vehicle came to rest, police report.
