Love your gifts but don’t advertise them

Police and neighborhood watch groups caution against putting after-Christmas wrappings and boxes at the curb, unless double-black-bagged, lest thieves be scanning your neighborhood for homes with brand new electronics, jewelry, etc.

Santa was good to a lot of people this year, bringing longed-for electronics, high end furnishings or the latest toys.
Be sure, however, that you don’t advertise the goodies that were under your tree. Especially if they are items easy to carry off and sell, the Bartow Police Department warns people.
