It’s Christmas! If you are like me, you get into “the spirit” of the holiday by helping others and, of course, buying gifts for loved ones and friends. But this time of year can open us up to become victims, if we are not extra careful. I am talking about Internet safety.

We didn’t deal with these types of issues when I started in law enforcement over 30 years ago. Today, however, it is imperative that we give it some thought. The Internet has made our lives a matter of convenience. You can shop and never leave your house. So, this week’s tip is think safety while you are shopping, or just chatting online.
